The benefits of LTE-enabled cloud networks have not escaped the attention of emergency services officials, according to analyst Ken Rehbehn of Critical Communications Insights. Rehbehn says that many agencies remain with less capable systems because they have confidence that these networks will work even during an emergency or crisis. Marrying the reliability of conventional public safety systems with the capabilities of LTE is an opportunity that can have impact far beyond the wireless industry, since we are all public safety stakeholders.
